Now reading the thirteenth book in the Honor Harrington series!

I have no idea when I’ll be done with this Honor Harrington kick. I’ve read through the entire series in about two or three weeks, and I’m now almost done with the thirteenth book! It’s tedious, at times, but also very easy to read. The battles in the series have just gotten bigger and bigger, and there’s a certain amusement in hearing about the hundreds of thousands of missiles flying in each direction (where in the first book, they would only speak about salvoes of twenty or thirty missiles) and the hundreds of ships that get destroyed in the various battles.

It’s been a long time since I’ve really followed a series, and it is worth remembering that there are effects you can have in a really, really long series that you can’t have in a shorter one.

Anyway, there is a fourteenth book that’s currently out, and the fifteenth is coming out in November, so I don’t know…maybe I’ll keep reading!

Hm-mm … last time I caught up with the series there were only 11 … Guess I’ll have to do a re-read. 🙂

Just finished the twelfth (not the thirteenth, I was wrong in my title) and I have to say it was really slow going. Not sure I can recommend.
