I have various pet peeves when it comes to books. I don’t like it when books don’t describe the race of the characters, and instead leave you to intuit it from the text. And I’m not a huge fan of the quirky hero who loves indie music. But I also think it’s important to note that what makes these peeves is that they bother me out of proportion to their actual badness. As such, I try not to let pet peeves ruin my enjoyment of books. I’m not really sure where else I was going to with this entry. Just trying to remind myself to keep perspective, I guess.
