Been reading Jim Morrow’s BLAMELESS IN ABADDON — there’s something very 90s about this book

It’s a novel about a cancer- and grief-stricken widower who decides to put God on trial. Part of his whole trilogy of books about a world where the corpse of God–it’s two miles long–suddenly appears floating around in the ocean.

There is something very 90s about this book. It’s hard to put my finger on it, exactly. But it has something to do with the writing style. Everything is so orderly and comprehensible. Mysteries actually get explained. I like it.
