So I am here. In New Orleans. It’s actually a pretty sweet place. I walked through the French Quarter today, and it was beautiful. I felt like I was in a Pirates of the Caribbean movie (hopefully not the third one, eww).
Anyway, I have a lot of free time.
The temptation when you have a lot of free time is to try to do about three or four times as much work.
Bad idea. Overambitious goals lead to inertia.
The secret to being productive when you have a lot of free time is to have very modest ambitions. Right now I’m just trying to do about 25% more work than I did in normal times. So far it’s working (the output hasn’t been entirely satisfactory, but what can ya do?)
